The Wieliczka Salt Mine is on the first UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. It is the only facility in the world that is open continuously from the Middle Ages to the present day. During the trip, you can admire the original workings, pavements, ramps, lakes, mining chambers, shafts, all on a specially prepared tourist route.
The Wieliczka Salt Mine is located approximately 16 km south of Krakow. The tour takes approximately 4-5 hours. Sightseeing takes place 135 meters below the ground, descent is by stairs (approx. 800) and return to the surface by elevator. The tourist route is approx. 2 km long, the temperature inside the mine is around 16 ° C. The tour inside the mine takes approx. 3 hours.
There is a possibility of organizing special tours for people with mobility problems. The descent to the sightseeing level as well as the exit to the surface takes place by elevator, the route is shortened.
