Częstochowa is a city located in Silesia, about 130 km from Krakow.

The story goes that during the Swedish invasion of the 17th century, the Swedish army made attempts to take over the monastery, their goal was also to take over the miraculous image of the Black Madonna, but the brave monks successfully opposed them and hid the painting in a safe place.

Częstochowa is known mainly for the painting of the Black Madonna located in the Pauline Monastery at Jasna Góra Monastery. Every year, the monastery is visited by numerous pilgrims from all over the world, and was also a place of pilgrimage by Pope John Paul II. During your visit to Jasna Góra, you can visit the Knight’s Hall, the Museum of the 600th anniversary of Jasna Góra, the Bastion of St. Roch, the Jasna Góra Basilica, the Treasury, the Chapel of the Miraculous Day of Our Lady.
